Olympic National Park- Sol Duc Area

We highly recommend a day trip up to Sol Duc and the Salmon Cascades. Sol Duc Falls is a nice 2 mile total out and back, mostly even hike from the trailhead to a nice waterfall.

Our favorite part of the day was the stop at the Salmon Cascades. Mid-August was a little bit early to see the Salmon jumping upstream back to their spawning ground. We did, however, find a few early fish. It is always super fun to see the fish returning to their pace of birth.
