Thousand Islands National Park

Cruising Between Countries

For our visit to Thousand Islands National Park in Canada, we actually stayed in New York on the US side at Wellesley Island State Park. From there we were able to quickly cross the border and spend a day exploring the mainland trails. We hiked at Mallorytown Landing, Jones Creek and Landon Bay. There are over 2000 islands that make up this amazing border between the US and Canada.

No visit to Thousand Islands National Park would be complete without a boat trip out to the islands. We were watching the weather and chose to take a cruise from the US side with Clayton Island Tours. We spent 1/2 the day cruising through both the US and Canadian side of the Islands with a long stop at Boldt Castle.
