2025 Glacier NP- Avalance Lake Trail

The hike to Avalanche Lake starts with the Cedar Grove Loop Trail. About the half way point of Cedar Loop is the trailhead to Avalanche Lake. The hike starts out along the beautiful Avalanche Creek where the water flows through a box canyon creating whirlpools and waterfalls. From there the hike continues through the woods and up to some amazing overlooks before descending to Avalanche Lake. If you like the add on, you can continue to hike the length of the lake.
