Waterfalls in Prospect Near Crater Lake
Just across from the general store in Prospect, OR is the parking lot for Pearson Falls. The hike to the waterfall is a very easy 1/3 of a mile along a level, cedar lined path. The falls are gorgeous spilling over the mossy rocks. Absolutely worth it and highly recommend recommended.
Heading south the next stop is the Gorge Bridge Overlook. Don’t miss the views both up and downstream for a view of Barr Falls and the Avenue of the Giant Boulders.
The next stop is just down the road on the left with a clearly marked parking lot. It is only about a quarter of a mile to the first waterfall, which is Millcreek Falls. If you continue on just another 10th of a mile, there is a small set of stairs leading up to the viewing platform of the second waterfall, Barr Creek Falls.
About 12 miles or so up the road is the Gorge Overlook and just down from it is the Natural Bridge. The Gorge Overlook is an accessible trail leading to amazing views of the Gorge Waterfall.
The Natural Bridge is an accessible paved path leading to several viewpoints of the lava tube that causes the Rogue River to disappear underground, and then reappear down river. This was super fascinating and the the plaques along the river were very informative.
