Mt. Hood Village Campground
A Thousand Trails Destination Outisde Portland
Perhaps we are spoiled because we just came from Sun Outdoors Bend, but for the nightly price we are paying at Mount Hood RV Village, it seems like we would have a better RV spot. Our loop is newer and pretty much wide open with few to no trees for shade. The sites are overgrown and do not look like they are being tended. The gravel looks like it was laid down and at that point they didn’t care what grew up on it or through it or how it settled. Our site was spacious enough for our 43 foot RV and truck and there is an old picnic table at the site. The sewer connection is fairly far to the back of the site which requires us to add in our extensions.
All of that being said- The positives of this spot outweighed the potential negatives. We took advantage of their hottub and it was amazing! Also, the location, close to Mt. Hood was great. But the best part was the super understanding and supportive staff. We had a mechanical problem and needed a late checkout. They accomodated us and didn't charge anything extra for our 3 hour late departure. We would stay here again.
