Yosemite National Park- The Valley
The Heart of Yosemite National Park
The Valley section of Yosemite National Park is truly the heartbeat of the park. This is going to be your most crowded part of Yosemite as well as some of the most spectacular trails and views.
There are several dog-friendly walks in The Valley. Bridalveil Falls is a very quick .5 mile roundtrip paved walk to see the falls. You an also get a birds eye view at the Tunnel View roadside stop. Also dog-friendly in The Valley is Mirror Lake. This is a 2 mile total walk on a paved trail to the base of Half Dome. Please note that to get to the start of the trail, you need to park near Curry Village and walk about a half mile to the start of the trail.
A can't miss, dog-friendly walk is the Lower Yosemite Falls loop. We parked at the Valley Visitors Center and walked the paved trails to the start of the loop. It was approximately 2.5 total round trip, very flat walk.
In the summer, the Valley is very crowded and the parking is limited. If you plan to visit during this time, make sure to apply ahead of time for your timed entry.
