Thousand Trails Yosemite Lakes

Thousand Trails Yosemite Lakes Campground is located on the north-west side of Yosemite National Park about 15 minutes from the Big Flat Information Station. From Thousand Trails it takes about 45 minutes to drive all the way to the Hetch Hetchy section of the park and about hour to the Yosemite Valley Welcome Center. There is also a bus that leaves directly from the campground.

At the campground there is peewee golf, horseshoes, tetherball, shuffleboard, basketball, volleyball, and a playground. They offer tent camping, yurts, rv spots and cabins.

There are only a handful of 50 amp spots and so, despite the fact that we booked months ahead, we had to get by with a 30 amp spot. We would most likely stay here again when we revisit Yosemite.
