Redwood National and State Parks- Jedediah Smith State Park

The Howland Hill Scenic Drive

Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park is at the northern end of the Redwoods National and State Park system. The Howland Hill Scenic is a must do drive that takes you on a meandering tour of the giant redwoods. This drive is awe inspiring with plenty of opportunities to stop and hike some of the trails. We chose the Stout Memorial Grove and wandered the easy mile or so long loop trail. If you have only one day in the area- we highly recommend the Howland Hill drive.
