Taughannock Falls State Park

There is more to Taughannock Falls State Park than just the impressive waterfall! There is boating, hiking, camping in addition to winter activities available. For our quick stop, we chose to do a quick stop at the top viewpoint (not to be missed!) Then we drove down to the bottom of the falls trail and hiked the gorge trail approximately 1 mile in and 1 mile back out. There was very little elevation change which made this a nice easy, dog-friendly walk.

As a side note, since we were camping at Filmore Glen State Park, we were able to park at and access all of the other state parks for free!
