Filmore Glen State Park

Filmore Glen State Park was a great camping stop for us. We do have one camping warning, we were only able to get an electric site so no power or water was available. However, the community water was located right in front of our campsite and the dump station was just a quick haul away so we managed our week without full hookups ok.

Now to the best part about this park- the trails! There are several series of trails that run through and around the gorge. We made sure that we hiked to all of the waterfalls in this park. To access the waterfall loop and dam, we drove to the top of the park and did several miles. From our campsite we were able to hike the gorge as well as the lower waterfalls. The geology in the Finger Lake region of New York is fascinating.
