Situated in northwest Texas, Caprock Canyon is a must see stop between Lubbock and Amarillo.

We visited in early March and combined this day visit with a 3 night stay at Palo Duro State Park. The nights are cool in the winter but the days still get very warm and are perfect for hiking.

With approximately 24 hours worth of trails to hike, you can easily make this a week long trip all on it’s own.

The bison are free range and it’s recommended that you give them a 1/2 football length space.
